Amputee with 3 Feet!

Amputation is a surgical process to remove body's extremity(ies). The major cause is due to complications from diabetes. Others can include vascular disease, cardiac diseases, trauma - accidents, malignancy, infections and congenital deformities in infants.

There are 700 occurrences annually in Singapore and 80% of those occurs in the lower limbs......which means one or both legs gone!

Does that means no more walking? You can still walk with a custom made prosthesis......

But some other people can just walk without a prosthesis, because......









...........after amputation, he actually had another extra leg!

Pests' Playground Part 2

More on the pests' story. Got no time to update on it until today.

Well, if you can remember, my bf's previous landlord agreed to pay the deposit as well as the 1 month rent. What happen was, on the day my bf was suppose to meet the main tenant of the house (chinese lady), she only paid the deposit.

Which means the landlord don't want to pay us the 1 month rent ($360), eventhough my bf only stayed there for 2 weeks....

2 weeks of suffering + seen doctor twice + painted the room + bought insect repellant x 2 + bought and thrown away mattress + thrown away a lot of other things - since we do not want anymore crawling creatures to be brought over to the new place.

So my bf told the landlord, since he doesn't want to pay the 1 month's rent, then he can pay for the paint + painting work done + medical bills x 2 which will all equals $360............He STILL refuse!!!!!!!!!!! Wait till I sue you!!!!!!!!Then my bf called the housing agent on the spot and told him about the situation. This made the chinese lady a bit nervous and she quickly said that she will pay him next week.....but will bank in into his account. My bf don't believe that she will do it, so my bf told her that he will go over to collect the money personally. Smart, eh?

What kind of people are they hah?? Only think of cheating money. If like that, can earn money very fast.... rent room, make people shift out, don't pay back deposit, rent room again, make people shift out again, don't pay deposit again....can keep on earning money.....

If the money is not returned, we will need to lodge a complain since we have 2 witnesses, the housing agent who saw us paying the deposit and rent and also the doctor who seen my bf twice.

Pests' Playground

I would never imagined that I will ever experience this in my life. Battling with dust mites and fleas! The thought of it makes my whole body to itch....!

My bf viewed a new room and decided to shift in 2 weeks ago. Since the previous landlady wasn't a very nice person, if fact was very grouchy and rude sometimes. She looks like a neglected housewife who is suffering from aneroxia nervosa. Anyway, back to the main story, my bf successfully moved all his things, with my help, of course, into his new room. There is this cupboard about 1.75m in length which we need to push from one block to the other block. We had to borrow a trolley and push it almost in the middle of the night, like thieves stealing things.........

Anyway, back again to the main story (how come I kept sidetracking), we saw quite a few holes on the wall with some black spots. We thought it was lizards' shit and decided to clean them the next day, since it was already very late. The 1st ight was still ok, no problem. Problem starts during the 2nd night - my bf was bitten by dust mites? fleas?....he got red spots all over his body, both arms and legs, back, shoulder....almost everywhere. It was really terrible! After helping him to shift his stuffs into the room, I too sustained some red spots on my body.

The red spots were very itchy and scratching them will cause the spots to enlarge to a bigger size. I got 1 that swell up to a size of a piece of bread! That one itch like nobody's business........We even saw a few 'dead bodies' lying on the ground, maybe too tired after an overnight shift of sucking out blood of innocent people who are just trying to get some sleep, until they drop dead.

We do not know how many alive ones are there in the room, since there are a lot of holes on the wall and floor. We decided to do something.

Solution #1

My bf called his dad to come over to cover up the holes and paint the room, hoping that that will solve the problem. After painting, night no.1, my bf was bitten 3 times in 3 different areas. The next day, the rest of the remaining red spots start to swell up, become red and hot. He went to see the doctor. Solution falied. (The sealed holes started to break in 2 days time, black spots start to form on the wall....ewwww............)

Solution #2

He decided to call the pest control experts.Pest control expert told me that if there are foreigners who works in construction area staying in the house (that house has 2..wouldn't say what nationality), even if they clear the whole 4-room flat (which costs about $800), the pests will still be back in 2-3 weeks time. Normally, customers take up a full year treatment plan, which costs about $20,000!! That's crazy, I mean even if that's the responsibility of the landlord, it's still very expensive. So I told my bf the only solution is to change room!

Solution #3

Lucky us, we found a really nice room online, without having to pay an agent fee. Then we quickly confirm the room and then called the main tenant of the old house to inform the landlord to pay back my bf's deposit and 1 month's rent.

We met her when we were going to move the things out of the room.

Conversation with main tenant (chinese lady):

Lady: How can you just move out like that? I already provided you with the solution (solution: stay in her friend's house in somewhere very far and wait for the pest control people to clear the room, can't guarantee the room will be pests free)

BF: Your solution is unreasonable. We are already badly traumatized by this incident.

Lady: By right, the landlord will not pay you the deposit.

BF (angry): OH! SO IT'S OUR FAULT NOW?! We help you to paint the room and didn't even ask for payment!!

Me: Why not you give us the landlord's number? We will talk to him.

Lady (unwillingly): ~looks at hp~ 9xxxxxxxx

Telephone conversation with landlord:

Me: Hello, uncle, I am Esther, tenant of the 2nd room

Landlord: Ah you! Actually if you don't follow procedure (to give 1 month notice before you move out), I am not suppose to pay you back the deposit.

Me (very angry): Uncle! My bf already have NO PLACE to stay! This is not a small matter. Wait for pest control to clear will take 3 weeks, where do you want my bf to stay?? If he continue to stay in that room, he will end up in the hospital!!

Landlord: ~pissed, coz no chance to talk~ OK, OK, i talk to chinese lady.

Finally he agreed to pay us back the rent + deposit. Really pissed off. After getting bitten by those monsters, my bf still have to stay there and continue to get bitten?? What kind of thing is that??Anyway, it's settled right now. Shifted everything to the new room already. The new room is so spacious and clean. My bf had to clean ALL his clothes with hot, boiling water, to kill those pests, if there is any leftovers.Sprayed all his stuffs with insect repellant. Check all his items one by one. Throw away mattress, pillow, books and many other things.....just because of the pests! NO TO PESTS!!!

My Little World!

This is my very first post here! Finally I can blog peacefully. My very first blog was in Friendster... well, I know that Frienster should already be extinct - like how good guys extinct from this planet....but, I still continue to use it, thinking that I should be loyal to it. Loyal indeed!! I have been using that blog for 3 donkey years. OMG! So what do I get for being so loyal?
Slow downloading of my blog page, words that go hay wire after waiting for a damm 15 minutes for it to load, and most terrible is when half of my post went missing to god-knows-where after typing it for nearly an hour!!!!!!!!! And that was already past sleeping time. How can I sacrifice my sleep for something so stupid?

Anyway, I decided that I'm done with that stupid site. I have to venture out into somewhere else. And that's when I decided blogspot.com is a good one. I shall give it a try. Hope I will not be disappointed!
